9 Clothes An Elegant Lady Would Not Wear

This article is for all of you, ladies, who want to be more elegant. It will explain what are the nine clothes an elegant lady never would wear. Here we would be talking elegance. So I will be speaking about elegant fashion and what is appropriate elegant fashion, and what are those things that you shouldn’t wear.

You understand that this is only for those who are part of the elegant ladies tribe. And I will avoid certain clichés that I know are very common that we always speak about whenever we say, do not wear this, do not wear this if you want to be classy. I’m going to focus on things I want you to pay attention to because they are downgrading your entire elegant appearance as a sophisticated lady.

1- Gym Clothes

It’s about wearing your gym clothes when you’re not doing sports and when you’re not at the gym, but when you’re running around in town doing your errands wearing yoga pants.

Would you please explain the logic?  Yes, perhaps they are comfortable. Many other more comfortable trousers are actually even more stylish and chic and are actually meant for whatever occasion you’re in.

An elegant lady would wear sports clothes only when she’s not doing sports.

2- Bandage Dress

It is so incredibly out of fashion. It usually shows a lot of legs, and you just put everything on display.

The bandage dress has a cheap kind of signature to it. So if a woman is wearing a bandage dress, she lowers her appearance. She cheapens her appearance, and it’s a big no-no for anybody who wants to be a true lady.

3- The crop top

The crop top is not for classy ladies. I don’t even think if you’re a teenager, you should wear a crop top.

I mean, it looks very cheap. Nothing very stylish or luxurious, or affluent.

So it’s important to stay away from the crop top if you want to be sophisticated.

However, there are exceptions. Those crop tops are usually in a combined outfit with a matching skirt or matching trousers. And they’re always high-waisted.

But, those are an exception. So make sure you know the rule.

4- Cartoon prints or prints with animal

Clothing with prints of Mickey Mouse, Snoopy, Betty Boop, and so on do not make an elegant lady look.

Even in pijama, stay away from cartoon prints.

5- T-shirts

T-shirts are not appropriate for everyday wear. It’s not appropriate to wear a T-shirt in the office or when you’re out for dinner or going to some party. As a home garment, I would say it would be maybe OK, depending on the look of the T-shirt.

You can, of course, wear a T-shirt if you’re moving house or working in the garden, and you need to be a little bit robust.

Get yourself away from the jeans and T-shirt mentality if you want to be elegant.

6. Ripped jeans.

It looks tacky, cheap, and horrible. But, some people like it. So if that’s your style, fine. But if you want to be elegant, ripped jeans are not the solution.

7- The jeans-shorts.

Now jean shorts are very popular in summer because they’re short, light, easy to wear, easy to mix and match and so on.

But, actually the kind of blue denim jean shorts, It can look a little bit too casual, and I don’t recommend wearing them if you want to be sophisticated.

Some elegant women like jean shorts sometimes but they would wear more color like white.

I think white in jeans always looks more sophisticated than denim blue.

So if you like your jeans, then at least choose the white-colored. That will make you look more expensive than when you wear denim blue.

8-Worn Bags .

So we might have our favourite bag, and we might have a hard time giving it up whenever it starts to look like rags.

Ladies, when your bag is losing its shape, is fading the colour, has threads poking out, or you know, leather is starting to get rubbed off, especially in the corners, you know, in the bottom of the bag.

And the expired bag belongs in the cemetery. And it’s time to let it go.

Because you have to understand this: a bag for a woman is everything. It’s the woman’s status symbol. And if you have a bag that looks like rags, that is very worn out and looks very shabby, no matter if it’s a designer or how much it cost, it’s going to downgrade your overall appearance. It’s not going to do you any favours, even though it’s a designer bag. So let it go. Do not wear bags that look shabby.

9- Non-tailored And Creased Clothes

Would you please wear clothes that are somehow perfectly suited for your body shape because they can make it or break it.  As a result,  you look more expensive and sometimes it costs more.

Elegant ladies do not wear clothes that need ironing. This is still happening a lot. Maybe because people are just lazy, and this is the thing: when you want to be sophisticated, you cannot afford to be lazy.

You have to step up your game. You have to walk the little extra mile. If you’re there with wrinkled clothes, it will just downgrade your appearance.
